What Federal laws cover hiring people?
When you hire people - whether as employees or contractors - you will be expected to obey a TON of laws. Some are federal, some state, and some local.
The Department of Labor covers the Federal side of laws. Their mission is to "To foster, promote, and develop the welfare of the wage earners, job seekers, and retirees of the United States; improve working conditions; advance opportunities for profitable employment; and assure work-related benefits and rights."
